Prior to fortifying Jiao’ao at the Late Qing Dynasty, Little Fish Hill was a nameless hill and was named as Yamen Hill after the garrison. Germany blazed the hill and built roads during its invasion of Qingdao and called it Alila Street. Later, Raoshan Road was changed into Yushan Road, and the name Little Fish Hill just originated from this. In 1985, Qingdao Municipal Government built it into a park and opened it to the outside. There are sightseeing buildings on the hilltop such as Tide-Viewing Pavilion and Blue Billows Pavilion. When overlooked from the hilltop, the beautiful scenes of LU Xun Park, No.1 Bathing Beach and Huiquan Square will jump into your eyes.
